Rules
Please familiarise yourself with all the rules which are here before attending any of our events.
Meet rules
1. Appropriate Behavior:Â
This is not an 18+ venue.
Conduct yourself in a courteous and respectful manner. Harassment, bullying, and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. Keep conversations and interactions appropriate for all age groups, as there may be minors present.
Attire associated with fetishes is not permitted at the venue. Collars may be worn subtly; please note that leashes, harnesses, or any other BDSM-related paraphernalia is not to be used or displayed at the venue during our meets.
2. Respect and Consent:
Always respect the personal boundaries, comfort levels, and consent of others. Do not touch or engage with anyone without their explicit permission. Respect people's choice of fursuits and fursonas. Don't criticise or make fun of their characters.
3. No Discrimination:
Discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, or any other characteristic is unacceptable. Everyone should be treated with equal respect and dignity.
4. Alcohol and Drugs:
Abide by any venue-specific rules regarding alcohol or drug consumption. Do not attend the event under the influence of substances that impair your judgment or behavior.
5. Safety Precautions:
Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious or potentially dangerous activity to event organisers or staff. Have a designated "handler" or friend for safety if you are in fursuit. Hydrate and take breaks as needed to prevent overheating.
6. Photo and Video Consent:
Always ask for permission before taking photos or videos of others, especially if they are in or out of fursuit. Respect their choice if they decline.
7. Cleanliness and Hygiene:
Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness, especially if wearing a fursuit. Be considerate of others' personal space.
8. Costume Care:
Be careful with your fursuit, costume, and props to prevent damage to your own and others' belongings.
9. Noise Levels:
Be mindful of noise levels, especially in public spaces. Some people may have sensory sensitivities.
10. Emergency Procedures:
Familiarise yourself with the venue's emergency procedures, including fire exits and safety protocols.
11. Minors and Parental Consent:
Minors under 16 should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Event organisers may have specific rules regarding minors' attendance.
12. Liability:
Attendees are responsible for their actions and any potential damage or harm they may cause. Event organisers are not liable for personal belongings or injuries.
13. Feedback and Reporting:
If you have any concerns or issues, please report them to event organisers or a member of staff. Constructive feedback is appreciated to improve future events.
14. Compliance with Local Laws:
Follow all local laws and regulations, including those related to public behaviour, public spaces, and events.
Please note that breaking the rules may result in you being banned from the event.
Sanction Policy:
A verbal warning will remain on record for a duration of 3 months.
Subsequent to the verbal warning, two written warnings will be issued via email. A breach of these warnings will lead to a 6-month suspension. (Any return during a suspension at an East Sussex Furs meet will result in an immediate permanent ban.)
The written warnings will be documented for 6 months from the date of the first written warning. If an attendee/staff member receives another written warning within 6 months of the initial one, an immediate 6-month suspension will be enforced starting from the date of the second written warning.
Sanctions may vary based on specific circumstances and violations of our rules.
Failure to provide necessary details when requested by a staff member regarding a verbal/written warning may result in a written warning being issued.
Note: if you already have a written warning this may result in a ban.
